Olympic silver medallist Germaine Mason kicks the bucket in bike crash

Germaine Mason, the British competitor who won a high hop silver award at the 2008 Olympics, has kicked the bucket in a cruiser mischance in Jamaica.

The 34-year-old was riding at the front of a guard with various competitors, including Usain Bolt and the 2005 big showdown 100m silver medallist Michael Frater, and additionally the previous Bolton shield Ricardo Gardner, when he lost control of his bicycle on the Palisadoes fundamental street in Kingston.



Unverified reports recommend he was attempting to stay away from a vehicle that had lost control on the opposite side of the street. He was articulated dead at the scene.
